Sausmarez Manor

Sausmarez Manor, long-term home to the de Sausmarez family, is a delightful spot to spend quality time with family and friends in amiable and unhurried surroundings.

Permanent collections

As a museum, Sausmarez Manor enjoys a refreshing lack of austerity due primarily to its still being a functioning lived-in home. However, all the trappings of a stately home are here: exquisite tapestries, wonderfully varied paintings and a magnificent collection of antique furniture. A highlight of the collection is a log of the famous sailing ship Centurion from its historic voyage, during which it captured the fabulous Spanish treasure ship Manilla.

Visitor information

Set in the grounds of the Manor in the old vinery beside the lake, the Tea Room continues to use locally grown produce. Tuck into light lunches, from homemade soups to fresh salads, sandwiches and quiches. Delicious teas and coffees are on offer, all served with creamy Guernsey milk.
