Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens

Cottesbrooke is a lovely Queen Anne house set in award-winning gardens in rural Northamptonshire

The family home of the Macdonald-Buchanan family, it contains excellent 18th-century English and French furniture and porcelain. On the walls hang paintings from the famous Woolavington collection of British Sporting Art, which is  one of the finest of its type in the world. Highlights include canvases by Ben Marshall, Sir Alfred Munnings and George Stubbs. 

Visitor information

Surrounding the Hall are magnificent formal and wild gardens and an 18th-century landscaped park. The Old Laundry offers  homemade cakes for tea.
