Home to the largest private collection of paintings by Staithes Group artists, Brockfield Hall is a fine Georgian house which today is the family home of Mr and Mrs Simon Wood.

Exterior of Brockfield Hall

Built for Benjamin Agar by Peter Atkinson between 1799 and 1807, Brockfield's dramatic entrance hall features a cantilevered stone staircase curving past an impressive Venetian window.

Mrs Wood is the daughter of the late Lord Martin Fitzalan Howard, brother of the 17th Duke of Norfolk and son of Baroness Beaumont. Brockfield hosts family mementoes of the Fitzalan Howard family, fine furniture and paintings and a unique collection of glass walking sticks.
