Late availability at The Tower, Canons Ashby

The Landmark Trust is a building preservation charity that rescues historic buildings at risk and lets them for holidays. We're partnering with this important conservation charity to offer you the chance to book late availability at The Tower, Canon’s Ashby in Northamptonshire, two hour’s drive from London or Sheffield.

The Tower, Canon’s Ashby sleeps up to two people in a secluded refuge high above a tranquil 16th-century manor house, now looked after by the National Trust. The Tower was built before Queen Elizabeth I’s reign and the bedroom walls where you will sleep are adorned with the 18th-century childhood graffiti of its past inhabitants. Prices start from £25 per person per night.

It is less than 45 minutes away from both the Grade I listed Robert Adam mansion Compton Verney and Bletchley Park, where thousands of enemy messages were decrypted during the Second World War. Enjoy 50% off entry at these sites with your National Art Pass. Under an hour away is Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare and where the author’s journey from birth to death is mapped across five properties (Shakespeare’s Family Homes) in and around the historic town, each offering free entry with your National Art Pass.

Canon’s Ashby was owned by the Drydens, intelligent and sensitive owners who matched their tastes and needs to those of their house – early decoration lives happily with later furniture and every detail, both inside and out, is of charm and interest.
