Chippendale and the Yorkshire Craftsmen
24 March – 4 November 2018
Part of the Chippendale 300 festival, marking 300 years since the birth of England's most-famous furniture maker.
The exhibition celebrates the life, work and legacy of Thomas Chippendale, alongside the talented Yorkshire craftsmen who helped create his designs, and showcases examples of the beautifully handcrafted Chippendale furniture commissioned by William Constable in the 18th century.
In addition, it also features an array of original drawings, bills and letters from the Burton Constable archives.
