A display of work by ceramic artists whose Jewish heritage has shaped their practice.

Lucie Rie, bowl, 1977

In the mid 20th-century Jewish émigré ceramicists revolutionised British studio pottery; Lucie Rie, Hans Coper, Ruth Duckworth and Grete Marks were among those who brought modernist ideas from central Europe to the UK. Their simple and imaginative designs would transform artistic practice for generations to come.

This exhibition explores the achievements of 13 important ceramicists working over a period of 80 years.
