Drawing on a varied array of ephemera, the display charts the origins and influence of the radical musical, artistic and political movement.

British Library

The exhibition begins at the moment the Sex Pistols emerged on the music scene in 1976, and from here charts punk’s early days in the capital and its spread nationwide. On display are a range of fanzines, flyers, recordings and record sleeves from the British Library’s collections alongside rare material from the archives held at Liverpool John Moores University.
