Exploring the theatrical creations of the award-winning set and costume designer.

From the horses in Equus to the barricades in Les Misérables, the helicopter in Miss Saigon to the outsized junkyard in Cats, John Napier is behind many of the most distinctive set designs in modern theatre. Currently associate designer at the Royal Shakespeare Company, his career has spanned opera, musicals and films – including Steven Spielberg's Hook.

This exhibition not only presents Napier's theatre achievements – including set and costume designs – but also examples of the sculpture and other art that he has created in parallel with his career.
