Document Scotland: The Ties That Bind

Staged one year after the independence referendum, this exhibition features over 50 photographs about Scotland and its people shot by a documentary photography collective.

The group is comprised of four Scottish born photographers: Colin McPherson, Jeremy Sutton-Hibbert, Sophie Gerrard and Stephen McLaren. Each is passionate about using photography to explore life in their nation, more so than ever at this momentous time in Scottish history.

While the exhibition takes the referendum as a starting point, the images do not affirm any one position. Instead they seek to portray the multiplicity of views that surround this complex and highly-nuanced debate.
