Life on Foot
13 May – 1 November 2015
The first museum exhibition devoted to Spanish footwear brand Camper, an independent family-run business whose shoes are purchased in their millions worldwide.
Opening up Camper’s archives to the public for the first time, the exhibition charts the full design and manufacturing process behind the innovative footwear brand. Drawing on sketched concepts, prototype products and= as-yet unreleased pieces, it provides insight into how a complete seasonal collection is researched, created and put together – from the composition of the soles to the graphics on the box.
The exhibition also explores the design of Camper's conceptual retail spaces and its non-conformist approach to advertising.
Don't miss
The exhibition charts Camper’s many collaborations with leading contemporary designers, such as Bernhard Willhelm, Nendo and Jasper Morrison.
