Possibilities of the Object: Experiments in Modern and Contemporary Brazilian Art
13 March – 25 May 2015
A group exhibition that examines the innovative Brazilian artists who helped transform the international art scene in the 1950s to 70s.
Connecting the work of artists such as Hélio Oiticica, Lygia Clark and Mira Schendel with the work of some of their lesser-known contemporaries, the exhibition celebrates the radical ways Brazilian sculptors have tried to redefine what an art object can actually be.
