Here's One We Made Earlier

The story of BBC Children's broadcasting - past, present and future.

A display celebrating the programmes and characters of UK children's television, including Bill & Ben, Muffin the Mule, Andy Pandy, the Teletubbies, Newsround and Blue Peter.

The exhibition reflects on society's shifting perceptions of children, from 1922 when toddlers were asked to 'sit comfortably' in front of the family wireless for Children’s Hour, to today's children who actively participate, both while watching on television and also online.

Included are iconic items, footage, puppets and props from the BBC Archives, as well as private and public collections, many of which are displayed for the first time since transmission.
