Charting the practice of Daniel Weil; from his student days at the Royal College of Art to his longstanding role as Partner at Pentagram, the world's largest independent design consultancy.

The Argentinean-born designer has taken on host of prestigious commissions in his 30 year career, from re-envisioning the cabins of United Airlines’ aircrafts to creating the diamond shaped CD casing for the Petshop Boys’ ‘Very’ album. He has also redesigned the baby feeding bottle for Mothercare and fashioned a chess set inspired by the facade of the Parthanon. He describes his designs as 'time machines, in their process of making and expression of the moment'.

In the first museum exhibition devoted to his work, Weil opens up his archive – as well as his hundreds of identical hardback sketch books – to reveal the secrets behind his creative practice. As such, the exhibition intends to be less about design, and more about the process of designing.

Don't miss

Weil has been making clocks for over 20 years. The exhibition includes examples from his most recent collection - a series of clocks targeted towards various different professions, from an architect to an acrobat, an astronomer to a card player.
