A Shoal of Ganseys

The knitted legacy of the fishing community.

Fishermen's ganseys (sweaters) gathered from along the east coast of the UK go on display inside the museum's historic lifeboats. It includes over 70 examples, including a selection of Sheringham and North Norfolk ganseys on loan from members of the local community.
