Based on scientific research that demonstrates how susceptible we are to false memories, the archive features contemporary artworks and personal accounts inspired by things that never really happened.
Opening with a display of digitally manipulated photographs of UFO sightings, Hopwood’s work explores the often humorous, obscure and uncomfortable things people have misremembered, in order to reveal how we reconstruct our sense of the past.
