Please note: In The Making is currently closed until Tuesday 25 March for the Installation of Designs of the Year 2014.

Curated by the designers of the London 2012 Olympic torch, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, the exhibition captures over 20 objects mid-manufacture.

From the £2 coin to a cricket bat, an assortment of everyday objects are exhibited 'partially-made', providing an unconventional account of the production process.

Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, founders of the design studio Barber & Osgerby, have selected objects which have 'an unexpected quality about them' while in their unfinished state, such as tennis balls, banknotes and even diamonds.

The designers say their fascination with the making process is a continual inspiration for their work. By displaying these objects as they looked while 'in the making', the exhibition reveals the design thinking that has driven the duo to such success.
