A series of new original prints inspired by Enid Marx’s Animal Alphabet.

Marx's Animal Alphabet was first printed in 1979 and subsequently became a book in 2000.

Here the prints from the series are brought together in a rare occurrence as Compton Verney and Pallant House pool their collections.

These are shown alongside newly commissioned work by artists from the Leicester Print Workshop, who have employed a range of techniques, such as linocut, screenprinting, lithography, etching and letterpress, to produce a new alphabet of animals, both real and imagined.
