After a long and prestigious career, the artist says that Beachy Head is one of his most favourite subjects to paint.

In honour of the Royal Academian's 90th birthday, Jerwood Gallery is showing a series of landscape paintings inspired by the Sussex coastline, particularly the dramatic chalk cliffs where the South Downs meet the sea.

An RA since 1984, Camp is an accomplished artist whose career has already spanned seven decades. Art critic, Andrew Lambirth describes his work as 'remarkably generous statements about the world, full of love and sensuality and a singular appreciation of beauty'.
