In the 60s and 70s, the Biba store in Kensington was a magnet for artists, film stars and rock musicians and hordes of young people, all attracted by its unique affordable style.

The Biba look combined Art Deco with Victorian and Hollywood glamour. This exhibition tells the story of Biba and its creator, Barbara Hulanicki, continuing the narrative with her post-Biba fashion career in South America, Europe and Japan, and recent fashion projects for British High Street stores. Included in the show will be illustrations, film, fashion, music, photography, ephemera and the reminiscences of those who shared the Biba experience.
