From international contemporary art to Victorian masterpieces, see the treasures of the Harrogate Fine Art Collection at this major exhibition.

Showcasing the best of a collection consisting of some 2,000 works of art, predominantly from the 19th and 20th centuries, the exhibition is also an opportunity to see artworks acquired within the past five years.

The gallery will be showing off some of its major historical masterpieces, including The Private View by William Powell Frith, the artist's last great crowd-pulling painting. Frith, who was born in the Harrogate district, is also represented by one of the gallery's most recent acquisitions, Poor Maria.
