The Summer Exhibition at Tate St Ives brings together an eclectic range of works of art joined by themes of space, structure and light.

Martin Creed, Half the Air in a Give Space

A broad curatorial take on style and period is represented in a series of independent one-room displays, including works from the Tate Collection as well as significant loans.

Don't miss

Late works by American painter Agnes Martin are on show as part of the Artist Rooms collection, supported by The Art Fund. In these compositions, signature horizontal bands are made with pure colour watered down to create ethereal washes, often applied with a tactile, painterly handling.Exemplifying the exhibition's emphasis on art which speaks to the architecture and location of the gallery, Martin Creed's Half the Air in a Given Space fills the glass-fronted, sea-facing galleries with hundreds of balloons.
