Two Exhibitions at the Fitzwilliam Museum – SOLD OUT

An accompanied introduction to portrait prints by Marcellin Desboutin (who modelled for the bearded man in Degas` L`Absinthe in the Musée d`Orsay, Paris) and caricatures by Paul Gavarni, Honoré Daumier and Charles Keene - all of whom artists Degas admired and collected - in the Charrington Print Room & Shiba Gallery.

Designed to complement the Museum`s major autumn exhibition, Degas: a Passion for Perfection, Jane Munro, Keeper of Paintings at the Museum and curator of the exhibition, will introduce the exhibits with Amy Marquis, Research Assistant and curator of the Desboutin exhibition. The viewing will be in two groups.

 

The group will meet in the Friends Room.

This event has been organised by the Cambridgeshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
