Matisse: Giant of the Twentieth Century
- Linnean Society of London |
- Study Day |
- Monday, 23 October 2017 - 11:00 until 16:30
Painter, sculptor, draughtsman, graphic artist, book illustrator, architect – the diversity of Henri Matisse (1869-1954) and the sheer variety of his oeuvre is inexhaustible. Across all these fields,
Matisse produced some of the most original and significant works of the 20th century. This thorough examination of his work, led by Eveline Eaton, is designed to put into context the Royal Academy exhibition ‘Matisse in the Studio’.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
