A very special summer trip through the Floating Harbour and down the Avon Gorge, with Francis Greenacre. No other inland harbour in the world has such a spectacular approach. Bristol’s Floating Harbour, the Hotwells Spa, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Avon Gorge - all of the seven miles to the sea is full of interest and fascinating history. The organisers are pleased to offer a bespoke tour with Francis Greenacre as lecturer. For many years Francis was curator of fine art at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, he has recently been involved in the newly opened Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitors Centre, and has encyclopaedic knowledge of the Avon Gorge, Bristol and its history.

The Tower Belle offers hot and cold drinks and a bar. You are very welcome to bring a picnic lunch.

This event has been organised by the Bristol and Bath Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
