In a specially arranged evening at the Embassy of Denmark in London, art historian MaryAnne Stevens will give an illustrated talk about Danish artist Laurits R Tuxen (1853 – 1927) and his connections as court artist to both the Danish and British royal families, as well being an important member of the Skagen colony of artists at the turn of the 19th century.

We will then visit the Residence on the upper floor, kindly hosted by Ambassador Claus Grube and his wife, where we see work by Tuxen and also hear the history of this important 1977 building designed by the distinguished Danish architect Arne Jacobsen.

Photo ID required for entry to event.

Please advise in advance (london@artfund.org.uk) if wheelchair access required.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
