Anton Bilton has given this wonderful opportunity to visit Tyringham Hall, near Newport Pagnell. Tyringham is a Grade 1 listed building designed by Sir John Soane in 1792; magnificently restored and renovated by the current owner. The house stands in 59 acres of grounds with formal gardens and Temples designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The approach to the house passes through a monumental arch linking two gatehouses and over a hump-backed bridge, both designed by Soane.

Howard Elliott, MA in Garden History, who has worked at Tyringham for the last 12 years will lead the group through the ground floor of the house and round the gardens and Temples. The gardens are the crowning glory of Tyringham.

This event has been organised by the Buckinghamshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
