Rodin: The Shape of Genius
- The Menuhin Hall |
- Lecture |
- Wednesday 17 May 2017 - 18:30 until 20:30
Auguste Rodin is known for the vigour and expressiveness of his treatment of the human form. One of his constant concerns was the expression of ideas, so that many of his works appear incomplete or fragmentary. Peter Scott will illustrate this and look at his lesser known works on paper which are echoed in the work of later artists such as Henri Matisse, Henry Moore and Georgia O'Keeffe.
This event has been organised by the Surrey Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
