Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village is a unique Arts & Crafts gem nestled in the Surrey Hills in Compton, near Guildford. The day will be spent exploring the Watts Gallery, the first purpose-built gallery dedicated to the work of one artist, the Watts’ Studios, the artist’s home, Limnerslease, and the Grade I listed Watts Chapel. Time will also be spent looking at work by William and Evelyn De Morgan, and by Mary Watts at Compton Pottery, who founded the highly successful Potters’ Arts Guild, producing decorative and ornate pots, birdbaths and garden ornaments.

Includes coffee/tea and biscuits and light lunch. If you have any dietary requirements, please advise on booking.

Please note that Limnerslease House and the Chapel are unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. There is a 10 minute uphill walk to Limnerslease House and Watts Studios and a 10 minute walk to the Chapel.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
