This lecture offers an overview of some of the key moments of the period, covering the work of important artists including Rubens, Van Dyck, Lely and Kneller, as well as examining some of the new genres that were introduced at this time, such as landscape, still life and marine painting. This was a period of incredible change, both in society and art, which produced some of the great masterpieces of British art history.
