- Ellesmere College |
- Study Day |
- Thursday, 27 October 2016 - 10:30 until 16:30
Specialising in 18th century English and European Ceramics and Asian Art, Jeremy Lamond was appointed Head of the Fine Art Department of Hall's Holdings in Shrewsbury in 2005.
Beginning with an account of the growth of the pottery and porcelain industry in Europe, Jeremy will illustrate the history of its design and manufacturing techniques as well as the rise of Wedgwood, Spode and Royal Doulton in Britain and will also discuss present day market values. Members and guests will then divide into groups to investigate and discuss different examples of the ceramics brought in by the lecturer and some they have brought themselves.
This event has been organised by the Shropshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
£35 (includes coffee, two course lunch, tea and cakes)
