  • Wednesday, 12 October 2016 - 18:30 until 20:30

This is a very special event in the Fitzwilliam Museum to mark its bicentenary (founded in 1816) and to celebrate over 100 years of association with the Art Fund.

Our Chairman, Lord Smith, Master of Pembroke College, will be in conversation with Tim Knox, Director of the museum, who is kindly opening the Upper Galleries of the museum for this event. After their talk, there will be an opportunity to see a number of the acquisitions, including the most recent, that have been obtained with Art Fund help; and a list will be provided of the most significant items bought over the years, most of which are on display.

A glass of wine will be served following the introductory talk.

This event has been organised by the Cambridgeshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
