- Monday, 3 October 2016 - 14:45 until 16:30
For 500 years or so the charitable entity Trinity House has been responsible for navigation aids and pilotage in England, Wales and the Channel Islands. Its headquarters are in an elegant Georgian building on Tower Hill. The present building was designed and constructed at the end of the 18th century and, in contrast to the Livery Halls more commonly associated with the City of London, has the look and feel of an elegant private residence. The public rooms contain many marine artefacts and paintings. The group shall have a private guided tour, followed by tea and biscuits.
Meet outside the main door facing the Tower of London at 2.45pm. Nearest tube station Tower Hill.
This event has been organised by the Hertfordshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
