The Arts and Crafts inspired Watts Gallery was commissioned by G F Watts to house his works of art. It is home to more than 100 of his greatest works which include both paintings and sculpture. The morning will begin with a guided tour of the gallery. There will be lunch in the Old Kiln Café followed by a tour of Limnerslease House and the studios of Watts and his  wife Mary Seton Watts, a talented potter. Both the house and studios have recently been restored to their original layout as designed for G F and Mary Watts by Sir Ernest George in 1891. They are set in mature woodland and surrounded by newly landscaped gardens. A visit to the Chapel decorated by Mary Seton Watts is also highly recommended. It is described by Lucinda Lambton as one of the most beautiful, extraordinary and magical buildings in the British Isles.

There will be a temporary exhibition Close Up & Personal: Victorians & Their Photographs as well as Phoebe Anna Traquair: Works in Miniature
