Unexpected gardens in the City - Sold out

- Tuesday, 6 September 2016 - 11:00 until 13:00
In the square mile of the City of London alone there are more than 1,000 trees and 47 gardens. We shall visit about 10 of the gardens with City Blue Badge guide, Anne-Marie Craven. Many of the gardens are churchyards whose churches remain as ruins. Others are simply spaces retrieved by the City to give some lungs to a part of London where the pace of life needs to be pacified! Imaginative planting combined with the gardens’ own stories make this a gentle way to avoid the noise and bustle of our financial power base.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
