  • The McManus |
  • Talk and Tour |
  • Thursday 25 August 2016 - 14:00 until 16:00

Anna Robertson, one of the curators at The McManus, will give an illustrated talk about the items she has bought for Dundee under the National Collecting Scheme for Scotland as well as giving reasons for her choices.

Afterwards Clara Young, who uses the excuse that her mother was a potter to justify her obsession with collecting ceramics, will show some of her personal collection which she has kindly brought into the museum especially for this event.

As Clara was a fine arts curator at The McManus before she retired she will also talk about some of the works she bought whilst working there.

There will be an opportunity to go down to the stores to see many items which are not currently on display.

This event has been organised by the Angus Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
