  • Saturday 16 April 2016 - 10:30 until 15:45

Conducted tour by Brian Higgs, an expert on church architecture and history.

The tour starts at the picturesque St.Andrew's Church, Kirkandrews-on-Esk. The Church was built in 1776 in red sandstone and is of an unusual rectangular design. This is followed by the Gothic style St.Michael's and All Angels church. Taking a break from these beautiful churches, the group will stop for lunch at the attractive 250 year old former coaching inn, Graham Arms. The final church visit of the day is to the most memorable Norman village church in Cumberland, St.Leonard's at Warwick-on-Eden.

This event has been organised by the Cumbria Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
