- Thursday 28 January 2016 - 14:30 until 13:30
Bellini, Titian and Veronese have always been admired for their handling of colour. This lecture will set the painterly achievements of the Venetians in the wider context of the material culture and physical setting of the lagoon city – its marbles, its glass and textiles, as well as its singular light. This talk is by Paul Hills, Courtauld Institute Professor Emeritus.
