  • Friday, 30 October 2015 - 10:30 until 12:00

The first reference to ‘makers of vessels of pewter’ was in 1348 and Edward 1V granted the first charter in 1474 which was 1473 in the calendar of the day. This charter granted the Company the right of search throughout England to ensure the quality of pewter was maintained. The first Hall was destroyed in the great fire and the present Hall was opened in 1961. The visit beings with a talk on the history of the Company followed by a tour of the artefacts which are on display through the Hall.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
