- Special Event |
- Saturday, 6 June 2015 - 14:30 until 17:00
This special event will be held at the home of Art Fund member, Freydis Campbell.
Amy and Jemma met at Leith School of Art, where both started their training on the School’s Foundation Course. Jeweller Amy subsequently studied at Duncan of Jordanstone where she was awarded a first class honours degree and then went on to be an exchange student in San Diego and an Artist in Residence at Glasgow School of Art, receiving a number of awards.
Jemma is a painter who studied at Edinburgh College of Art and now works from her Edinburgh based studio. Her works are bold, using vivid colours often inspired by the raw, exposed landscape of the Scottish Highlands and her love of travel. Jemma tutors classes and workshops both privately and at Leith School of Art.
Amy and Jemma will talk about their work with examples and slides. During afternoon tea there will be a chance to chat to them informally.
This event has been organised by the Highlands Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
