Granted a Royal Charter by Henry VIII in 1514 and initially tasked to preserve the safety of shipping on the Thames and tend to the education and well-being of seafarers, today Trinity House is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar. It’s headquarters, which contain many marine artifacts and paintings, are in an elegant Georgian building in Tower Hill, designed and constructed at the end of the 18th century with the feel of a large private residence.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
