  • Monday 2 March 2015 - 11:00 until 15:00

In 1608, James I granted the land and buildings of the Temple to two of England’s four ancient societies of lawyers, the Inns of Court. Art Fund members will have a privately guided tour of Middle Temple visiting the private Bench apartments and Hall. We will enjoy a three course lunch in the Great Hall, probably the finest of the surviving Elizabethan halls, completed in 1570. Afterwards a short walk to 2 Temple Place, the magnificent neo-Gothic mansion, built by William Waldorf Astor on the Victoria Embankment where guests may visit the exhibition ‘The Extraordinary Hidden Collections of the Industrial Northwest’.

Includes coffee or tea on arrival, 3 course buffet lunch and a glass of wine. (If you require the vegetarian option, please advise us when booking.)

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
