Gaye Blake Roberts, director of the Wedgwood Museum, will give a lecture on the collection which was ‘saved for the nation' in 2014. Founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood the collection has eighty thousand works of art, ceramics, manuscripts, letters and photographs now remains intact in Staffordshire. The museum charts 250 years of British social, design and industrial history and the lecture will enable us to appreciate a recent role of the Art Fund in helping to protect our heritage.

This is the third of 5 lectures this season investigating different aspects of art, - research, historical collections, fakes and forgeries, curating an exhibition and conservation.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
