The Mary Rose was raised from the seabed in 1982 and is the only 16th century warship on display anywhere in the world.  A new boat-shaped museum, opened in May 2013, reunites her with many of her 19,000 artefacts and showcases the best of 21st century architecture and construction.

Visitors look through windows into a “hotbox”, viewing the ship with the preserving sprays switched off and the final phase of the hull's conservation as up to 100 tons of water are removed from the ship's timbers. Rear Admiral John Lippiett, the Chief Executive of The Mary Rose Trust, will give an introductory talk at the Museum.
