Our visit starts with a talk on the history of hallmarking and on the different processes employed by the Birmingham Assay office. This is followed by a tour of the Silver Collection and a unique opportunity to handle rare items from the collection. We end with a tour of the Assay Office Library , which contains rare collection of books and manuscripts.. Every visitor receives a copy of the Silver Collection booklet.
