The British Academy, the national champion for the humanities and social sciences, is housed in Carlton House Terrace, London. The Academy enjoys two connected houses in this great terrace of houses built by John Nash on the site of the Prince Regent's Carlton House.
This private and exclusive visit has been arranged at a time of year which means that most of the rooms should be accessible. The guided tour will be led by the Academy's Librarian, Karen Syrett, who will be put out some treasures from the archive collection.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
