Andrew Barlow, Regional Representative for the Cheshire Art Fund Committee, speaks about the years 1750 to 1832 which mark the Golden Age of British satirical prints. The talk will concentrate in how King George IV and his circle of friends, wives and mistresses were depicted by artists such as Gillray and Rowlandson. The degree of licence and savagery may come as a surprise.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
