- Thursday, 10 October 2013 - 14:30 until 15:30
This lecture explores the role of art in the development of complex societies in ancient Central America. Selecting case studies from civilisations in Mexico, Costa Rica and the Caribbean Islands, British Museum curator Dr Jago Cooper will examine the inter-related development of artistic traditions and negotiated power over a 2000-year period.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
