- Buckland Abbey and The Garden House |
- Visit and Talk |
- Wednesday, 2 October 2013
A chance to view Buckland's recent Rembrandt 'discovery'. Once thought of as a copy, this magnificent self-portrait by one of the world's greatest Baroque artist is a must for all art lovers. There will be a talk and demonstration by renowned resident water-colour artist, Richard Woodgate, followed by a guided tour of the Abbey, with a short talk on Cornelis Engelbrechtz's Triptych in the Chapel. In the afternoon the visit continues to The Garden House, with a short talk by new Head Gardener Nick Haworth.
This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
