Join us for a morning view of Collecting Gauguin: Samuel Courtauld in the 20s, the first of a new series of Summer Displays showcasing aspects of The Courtauld Gallery’s outstanding permanent collection.  The Courtauld holds the most important UK collection of Post-Impressionist master Paul Gauguin’s work, including major paintings and works on paper, and one of only two marble sculptures ever created by him.  This Summer Display presents the complete collection, together with two loaned works, Martinique Landscape and Bathers at Tahiti, and represents a unique opportunity to consider Samuel Courtauld’s contribution in developing Gauguin’s reputation in the UK.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
