Calum Colvin: Behind the Scenes at the Artist’s Studio
- Calum Colvin Studio |
- Private View |
- Thursday, 13 June 2013 - 18:00 until 20:00
Calum Colvin has kindly invited Art Fund Members into his studio for a tour behind the scenes and a talk on his work while enjoying a glass or two of Prosecco.
Calum’s current practice reflects the training he received at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, where he studied Sculpture from 1979 to 83 (and where he is currently Professor of Fine Art Photography) and the Royal College of Art where he studied Photography (1983-85). He brings these disciplines together through 'constructed photography’: assembled tableaux of objects, which are then painted and photographed. His work is held in numerous collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Museum of Fine Art, Houston; Art Institute of Chicago; The Victoria and Albert Museum, London as well as the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh and the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow.
This event has been organised by a local group to help support the Art Fund.
